SKY FORCE SUMMER SKILL CAMPS

 

 

We have set our dates for summer. 

​

SESSION 1: June 12, 13, 14 from 10-12 - closed

SESSION 2: July 10, 11, 12 from 10-12 - not too late to sign up!

 

Will you be ready when the winter season starts? Sky Force Basketball camps are designed to improve players from the ground up.  We believe in beginning with the foundation of the game - the FEET.  Balance and footwork are the rock solid foundation on which all parts of the game are built.  We will stress the proper fundamentals of footwork, stance and balance in all parts of the game.

 

We do not believe in circus acts and teaching flashy moves without a purpose.  All of what we teach will apply directly to game specific movements.

Below is a list of what we refer to as "The Essentials."

​

1. Be able to go Full Speed with Both Hands

​

2.  Change of Space - Change Speeds and Change Directions - keep the defense off balance. Dribble Retreat will be emphasized daily.

​

3.  1 or 2 Change of Direction Move(s)

  • Front Crossover

  • Between the Legs

  • Behind the Back

​

4.  Same Side Move

  • Hesitation

  • Dribble Jab

  • Inside Out

​

5. Multiple Ways to Finish on The Defender and Against Help Side Defenders

  • Protection Lay-up - Keep the ball in private property

  • Inside Hand

  • Power Jump Stop

  • 1 Foot and Euro Step

  • Inside Shoulder

  • Floater in the Lane 

​

6.  Square Up - Triple Threat and Sweep the Ball Low

​

7. Rip - Pivot - Play the game while Under Pressure 

​

We will also teach the foundation of form shooting as well as shooting off the dribble, a jump hop and a "one-two" step into the shot.
